Susanne I. Schmidt is a native German and a certified translator for the English language. She is a member of the German Federal Association of Translators and Interpreters ("BDÜ").

After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, she went on to earn her graduate business degree - Master of International Management - at Ecole HEC near Paris, France. Subsequently she spent 2 years at an international consulting firm in Paris and 13 years working for a US music and media company in Germany. In her role as international marketing director she had to translate, speak and write daily in both languages, German and English.

Since early 2008, Susanne is employed at a renowned Munich law and accounting firm where she is translating numerous contracts and other legal documents as well as financial statements, legal essays and general international correspondence. Her freelance translation work over the last few years includes the translation of several company websites (financial, pharmaceutical, energy and other industries), international contracts in the areas of M&A, licensing and distribution, various business plans as well as presentations for companies in the music industry.
